This toy phone (originally the Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Phone) has been circuit bent to include a control for clock speed which results in extremely slow or fast effects. The speaker has been swapped out for a 1/4″ inch output jack so it can be run through amps, effects, or recording equipment. In addition there is a kill switch trigger that allows you to mute it when it’s making sounds you don’t particularly want to hear. Regardless of these mods this little guy works very solid and will give you consistent sounds once you get to know it.

It has three modes and plays numerous different tunes and sounds. One mode gives each key it’s own tune so when the clock speed is very slow they can be played like samples.

I removed a little picture of a puppy to give a nice view of the circuit and modifications. When powered on this is lit from the inside and looks quite nice. It runs on AAA batteries.
