This is based on the Forrest Mims stepped tone generator, also known as the atari punk console. It is built it into an vintage game controller.The larger knob controls the frequency the smaller knob controls the pulse length. The original momentary button is used but I also added a toggle switch to hold it activated as well as a red LED.

Power and audio are connected through the original 3.5 ft. cord. Audio goes to a standard 1/4 inch plug. A power adapter is hard wired and runs an additional 5ft. from the plug.
